Classification: Query
Surnames: Romaine, Baker, Tilley, Little, Abbott, Lander
I have some Romaine's in my family tree that were born in Bonavista, Newfoundland but migrated to Pennsylvania in the late 1800's to early 1900's (I'm guessing the date range would be approximately 1885-1909).
I have a Noah Romaine (b. abt 1868) who married Ada (Last name unknown) abt 1893. They lived in Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania. There children were George, Anna, Louis, and William.
I also have a George Romaine (b. abt 1872) who married an Annie (Last name unknown). They lived in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania. I believe that they migrated back to Newfoundland sometime between 1910 and 1920.
Virtue Romaine (b. abt 1885) also appears on the 1910 census in Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania. I have seen on WorldConnect that she possibly married a George Washington Hunt of New York, but I have not been able to confirm this. It is also likely that she died sometime between 1910 and 1920, but again, no confirmation of this.
If anybody has any information or could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,
Romaine Smith
