In researching my husband's ancestry, we obtained a certified copy of his maternal grandmother's birth certificate. Her name was Eleanora Emily Romaine and she was born 25 Sep 1889 in Boston, Massachusetts. The certificate shows that Eleanora's father's name was "George H. Romaine" (born in Houston, Texas, lived in Boston in 1889, and his occupation is "cook." It shows her mother's name was "Alice M. A. ---" and that she was born in England.

Does anyone have a George H. Romaine in their records? (Note: We believe that George's daughter Eleanora Emily Romaine later married a George Sangster and that Alice later married Clarence Walters.
