Helen (Elena) Romero Born May 13, 1914, passed away peacefully February 5, 2009, at the age of 94. She is preceded in death by her parents; Cayetano and Luisa Rodriguez; brothers: Antonio, Cecil, Richard, and Joseph; and husband Joseph O. Romero. She retired from the State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division. She was a proud owner of Kwiki Foods Tortilla Factory, along with her husband Joseph Romero. She is survived by son Joseph Buff Romero; daughter Carmela Romero; and brother Ruben Rodriguez. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will include: Apollo Hernandez, Bo Rivera, Bernardo Rivera Jr., Brandon Lovato, Peter Romero and Bernardo Rivera Sr. Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at St. Anne Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. also on Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church.
