John Romick of PA and OH

John Romick was born 1780-90 in PA, married Elizabeth Young. Children: Jacob, Adam, John, Philip, Jonas, William, Henry and Elizabeth. First six children born PA, last two in WV. The death record of one son, Philip, said he was born in Lancaster Co. PA. Family moved to Belmont Co. OH between 1826-1830. John and Elizabeth died in 1844 in Belmont Co. OH. Would like to locate where this family originated in PA and more on ancestors of John and Elizabeth. Is John descended from the John Adam Romig family?

Thanks for the info. My John Romick was born 1780-90 in PA. That's all I have on him. I haven't been able to locate him in the census before 1830 when he appears in Belmont Co. OH, so I haven't been able to identify a location in PA for the family.

I too have been looking for a Romick, Lottie Clara (Romick) Harper. Lottie married Clement V. Harper in the Hillard area. Try local newspaper around the Hillard area. Lottie died in 1918. Don't know if that helps but it's a suggestion. oldgrannyvic@aol.com
