Joyce Romney born abt 1529, died 4 Dec 1609

I just found Joyce Romney in my family tree. She was born sometime around 1529 and died 4 Dec 1609. Her father's name was John Romney and her mother was Ann Bripton Berrington, at least as far as I can tell. Joyce married John Lee and had two sons, Richard and Gilbert,

I would like to find out if she had any siblings. I am also interested in finding out who John's parents and siblings were. Does anyone have these people in their tree?

Thanks

Hi Kaye

We'll have to see if this works. My connection is through Ann, Miles' sister. She married Thomas Shaw and they had children - Miles died at 13, George and William. George married Jane Hutchinson, also from the local area of Dalton and one of their daughters Constance, was my grandmother. Miles' other sister Sarah, was staying with Ann and Thomas when the census of 1861 was done and she was listed as domestic servent.

I will write more later but would love to hear from you again soon. My son is getting married on Saturday, so please don't worry if I don't reply for a few days after tomorrow....

Kindest regards
Val

Donald! Stop bothering these nice folks. They're not related to you. In case you're wondering, my name name is Arrondell C. Gulston. Does that name mean anything to you? It should. I was born on October 24, 1916 and died on November 3, 1992 in Cambria Heights, New York. Lucille and I are very disappointed in you, Donald. It's time you grow up and become a responsible adult. Stop with the charades. Stop trying to live two lives. Choose one and live each day as if it were your last. Vania and Samara need more than a phone number - they need a father.

Sorry, I don't have any information for you. However, I have an interest in George Romney, the artist. His two brothers, Peter and James, moved to the West Indies and James died there. George Romney was born in 1734. Their is more information about the brothers in George Romney's letters. I have located a picture of James and Peter painted after George Romney.
Re: Obit: Keith Romney

Hi

Just read your obit.... I'm searching for the family of Miles Romney who emigrated to USA from Lancashire, England mid 1700s and married Elizabeth Gaskell in 1750. Everything is pointing me to Salt Lake City where I have traced decendants to and Miles is buried in St George, Washington, Utah. Seeing "Miles" mentioned in your obit, couldn't help but wondering if is a decendant.
Thanks for any information.
Val Garthwaite
