Looking for info on the family of D./Demsey Rooks, b. abt 1804. Migrated from NC to Haywood Co., in W TN about 1837-38. Wife listed as Ketty or Kitty, b. abt 1806. Children listed on 1850 census as follows: Wm, b. 1831 NC; Ann, b. 1833 NC; Delila, b. 1837 NC (my line); Dempsey, b. 1838 TN; Josiah, b. 1844 TN; and Martha, b. 1849 TN. 1840 Haywood census lists Demsey, John, Jas, and Wm R. as head of households. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
