Does anyone out there know this family? They came from ? in Ireland - probably to New York, then to Minnesota. Catherine was born about 1840. She married Thomas Garrick In Minnesota about 1868. On the 1870 census, there was an Anna Rooney listed with them - she was old enough to have been Catherine's mother. (?) Thomas was born in Ireland in 1827 and seems to have moved around a bit. He went from NY to Debuque, Iowa and then to Springfield, Ill where he married Mary Patton. They moved to Minn. and had two children (John & Mary) and another two lived with them that may have been Orphan Train children. (Frank & Mary)
