Herbert Peery Rooper 1916-2006.……………..OBIT
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Portland for Herbert Peery Rooper, who died Aug. 27th at age 90.
Mr. Rooper was born Jan. 11, 1916, in Antelope, and moved to McMinnville in 1924. He graduated from McMinnville High School and Oregon State College and served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a pharmacist for Good Samaritan Hospital. In 1946, he married Mary M. Macmorran.
Survivors include his wife, sons, Cleve, Don, Malcolm and David; daughter, Hilary Richardson; and eight grandchildren.
