Anne F. Komorek Ropelewski, age 86,
of Erie, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 13, 2008. She was born April 11, 1922 in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia Komorek. Anne had been a waitress at East Erie Turners and the Erie Club. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ropelewski;
two sisters, Helen Drum and Genevieve Mack; and three brothers, Peter, Anthony
and Joseph Komorek
Anne is survived by her son John E. Ropelewski and his wife, Diane of Erie;
five grandchildren, John T. Ropelewski of Lawrence Park, Jennifer Patterson and her husband, John of Edinboro,
and Julie Ropelewski, all of Erie;
a sister, Mary Cook of Erie,
a brother, John Komorek of Erie.
She is further survived by three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held there Friday morning at 11:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 629 Hess Ave., at Noon with the Reverend James T.
