Rev. Raymond W. Smiley Says Ceremony
Miss Ruth N. Rorick, of Martel, and Mr. J. Grove AMOS, of St. Clairsville, were married Friday morning at 9 o'clock by Rev. Raymond W. Smiley, at the First Presbyterian manse, east Church street.
The ceremony was witnessed by the mother of the bride, Mrs. Charles Rorick, and Mrs. Pearl Pangborn, Miss Pauline Spicer and Mr. Lowell Pangborn.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rorick, of Martel. She is a graduate of the Martel High School. She studied music at Ohio Wesley university and attended Ohio university, Athens, and Ohio State university. For the past year she has been employed as music supervisor in the schools in Belmont county.
Mr. Amos is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Amos, of St. Clairsville, and is a graduate of Wooster college. He is associated with the Travelers Insurance Company in St. Clairsville.
Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Amos left on a wedding trip through the East and upon their return will take up their residence in St. Clairsville
