Funeral services for Chester A. Roarick, 71-year old retired mail carrier, will be conducted at the home, 1607 West Colvin Street, Friday at 2 P.M. by Rev. John T. Reeve, pastor of South Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Roarick died in St. Joseph's Hospital at 5:50 A.M., 11 days after he was stuck by an automobile at Hillview and South Avenues Nov. 27. The driver of the automobile, Charles Schweitzer, 42, of 175 Parkway Drive, was charged with failure to give a pedestrian the right of way. The victim suffered head injuries.

Born in Schoharie County, Mr. Roarick was a resident of Syracuse 50 years. He was a letter carrier for the Syracuse Postoffice 35 year, retiring five years ago.
