My father, Toribio Rosario Rivera, and his family were living in Aibonito from 1910 until at least 1930. After that, either the whole family or my father moved to Caguas where he met my mother, Ana Vergara Dones. My grandfather’s name is Sandalio Rosario Alvarado and my grandmother is Maria Rivera Gutierrez.

Upon reading the message boards, came across a few of your responces to the other people, in their quests for Rosarios of Puerto Rico; and your knowlege seems quite extensive. I seek info on my maternal Grandfather born sometime in the mid to late eighteen hundreds. His name was Juan Albino Rosario, (or it could be the other way around). He was born in Caguas, as far as I can tell, or at least,that's how he was listed on my Grandmother's death certificate. He was married to my Great Grand mother Aurelia Montanez of Guaynabo,and one of their offspring was Maria Mercedes Rosario. I have limited information on this, since I only have my Grandmother's Death certificate to go by, and few relatives in Puerto Rico who even knew much about him, or would be willing to share either the interest, or my passion for our family history. Help! I'm looking for information on my paternal grandparents. The informtion I was given concerning my grandparents are: (a) he was of Africian descend; (b) worked on a sugar planation driving a truck; (c) died in 1941 from an accident while on the job. Information on my paternal grandmother: (a) she was part Filipino; (b) died in 1927 given birth to my mother. Information on my mother: (a) Emetria/Emeteria Rosario, was an only child; (b) DOB: March 1927 in either Bayamon or Santurce, Puerto Rico; (c) was being raised by her father until his death in 1941; (d) was send to live with an aunt/great aunt in New York in 1941.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of three Soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Balad, Iraq, on Oct. 19, when their HMMWV was struck by enemy indirect fire during patrol operations. The Soldiers were assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.

I had the honor of meeting them when I was a young girl, but never knew very much about them. The last placed they lived before passing away, was Caguas, Puerto Rico. I know they have more sisters, but I don't know their names. I believe one of them is in Florida at th moment. I know for sure that they had 2 brother who passed away. too am from New York City (live in Alabama
since 1972). I also graduated from Music and
Art (I was there 68-72). And...
I am doing research on my Rosario ancestry.
My Rosarios come from Ciales, Morovis and
some other areas which I can't recall at the
moment. My great-grandfather was Facundo
Rosario (don't know his second last name) from
what my grandmother told me (before she died)
he was supposed to be of indian decent. What
Indian I do not know. Her mother was Conrrada
Acevedo Rosa(grandmother said her family was
from Spain. Does any of this sound familar?
I am going to be in Puerto Rico next week for

My father was born in Comerio, P.R., (EL BARRIO: Rio Hondo)on April 20, 1941. He came to Florida when he was 17, and later moved to Brooklyn,Ny where he stayed until his death in 1995. He had 1 daughter, born in Lake Worth, Florida, who is now 33 years old. He then had 2 other daughters with my mother in Brooklyn. His mothers name is Etervina Rosario Cruz. She still lives in PR. He had 14 brothers and sisters. I've never met any of them. According to what he wrote down I have 1 of his brothers names and 3 of his sisters names:

Carmen Marie Guterre (Guzuet?)
