Your request for John A. Roseberry is not in my line. I have talked to the current Topeka Roseberrys who state that they have never heard of your ancestors. I checked the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census and all of them state that your John A. was born in Missouri, with his father born in Scotland, and his mother born in Germany. In 1900 they were in Oskaloosa, Jefferson County, KS. In 1910 they were in Ozawkie, Jefferson County, KS. In 1820 they were in Monmouth Shawnee County KS. I couldn't find them after the 1920 census. Since his father was born in Scotland and the mother was born in Germany, I would suggest that you subscribe to Ancestry.com World Deluxe Edition to search in Europe. I have checked 1850 census in Illinois and Missouri and there is no Roseberry born in Scotland in either census. Furthermore, there is no record for this couple in the State of Illinois marriage records.
Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful.
