Samuel Rosenberg came from Switzerland to Texas through the port of Galveston,Texas to live with and work for his Uncle Henry Rosenberg. He worked on his uncles freight line as a peddler going around the country side. That is how he met his wife Mary Johnson. Her family came from Meridian, Mississippi. Date of their marriage is unknown. They had three children Anna Mae, born 1-6-1874,in Robertson County. Two sons Henry & Issac do not know their birthdates.
Samuel was Jewish and Mary was a gentile, in those days that was not allowed and he was disowned by his family, he left and was never heard from again.
Anna married a William F. Haygood and had seven children.
