The project is intended to try to genetically link the various Rosamond families who through the years have begun using alternate spellings, as well as tie together those lines of Rosamonds living in various parts of the US and the world. In particular, this will determine which branches of the Rosamond families are descended from the legendary Sergeant Rosemond of Ireland, which from Jacob Rosenmann, and which from other areas.

If you are a Rosamond male (or have a surname with any variation thereof), or have any male friends or relatives with the surname Rosamond, please encourage them to join the project.

Click on the drop-down arrow at the end of the “Type of Test” line in order to see the options for the various kits that can be ordered. The only one required to join the project is the Y-12 marker kit for $99. Ordering your kit automatically puts you in as a member of the project.

Possible alternative spellings are:
Rosamond, Rosemond, Rosemon, Roseman, Rosemund, etc.

Hello my name is Lenin Zamir Flores Rossmann, well, i live in Nicaragua, my grand grand father, Adolph Rossmann was bourn in siberia during a holiday travel of hi´s parents( hi´s parens live in Berlin) , came to Nicaragua in he´s search for gold in 1900 and stablish in the caribean coast in Nicaragua, he get married whita a rama woman( Rama is an enical tribu in Nicaragua), mi mother is written the chonicles of tha Rossmann family in Nicaragua, and i´ll like to know more about the family ancestry.

I don't know if there is a connection or not as I have nothing back of Fite Rossman, and I don't have his parents or any other information about him. I believe Sabrina is my 2nd great grandmother but I would have to check on that. I'm sorry I can't be of any help.

I have two baptism records for two of my relatives that have the sponsors names as Aloysius Rossman & Mary Rossman dated Oct. 14th 1906 and the other baptism record has the sponsors name as Louie Rossman & Maria Rossman dated July 25th 1908.The baptisms took place at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York. I understand that these are the same people, but I am having a difficult time finding information about them. Apparently they were either close friends or family members to my relitives. I would like to know if anyone has these people in there list of names and that might be able to shed some light for me about my relitives also. I spilt my coffee. So you live in Lewiston? Small world huh! I was out that way a few years back at a yard sale and ran into a lady that was married to a Rossman but she didn't think we were related. My gr gr grandmother is in the 1860 census, Dayton, OH, Montgomery Co. with three daughters:
Catherine Rossman Haines b. 1835
Sarah Rossman b.1841
Louisa Rossman b. 1843
Catherine is my gr grandmother and she later married Enos Turner in 1863 in Chicago, IL.
I have not been able to find any more information on Hannah and the other 2 daughters. They were all born in Hesse Darmstadt. Thank you for your help.

His father's name is Ira Campfield Rossman
Mother's name is Susanna Reed

Clara Belle Harte was born July 23, 1895 at Stoneboro, PA.
Died Feb. 22, 1970 at Franklin, PA.
Her father's name is Hugh Harte
Mother's name is Jennie Gibbs.

Ira Campfield Rossman was born on July 16, 1849 at Walker Twp. Centre Co. PA.
He died Jan 17, 1927 at Coleville, PA.
He married Susanna Reed in 1872.
They have 11 children.
Ira's Parents are Henry Rossman and Sarah (Gingher) Rossman.
Susanna's Parents are Henry Reed & Elizabeth (Gill) Reed.

Susanna was born July 14, 1852 at Lamar, Clinton Co., PA
She died March 15, 1932 at Bellefonte, PA.

Hope this info is of help. Do you need children's names & dates? What about Siblings? Let me know if you need any other info that may be in this book.

I have in my family history an Ira Rossman from Crntre Co. b jul 16, 1849 & d Jan 17, 1927 in Coleville, PA his mother was Sarah Gingher but she married a Henry Rossman. I was wondering if you would know anything about them? Possibly the person you are looking for could be related to these people in some way.

Michael Daniel Francis Rossman, passed away on August 20, 2004, the day following his 23rd birthday. He is survived by his parents, Barry and Gina; brother, Matthew of Albuquerque; his uncles, Ivan Rossman of Detroit, MI, Charles Brunacini II of Corrales, Vincent Brunacini Jr. of Rio Rancho, Rudy and Marianne B. Miera of Corrales, and special sisters, Johannah Yazzi and Dr. Carol Clericuzio. From early on, our "little man" was dealt a very aggressive case of Neurofibromatosis which he fought most of his life. He matured into a young man of courage who shone as a beam of God's love for all. Found Paul Rossman born Germany 1877 to Valentine Rossman and Anna Lepke.

Paul and Anna did not live in Berlin, WI. He was an electrician and also worked for Western Union at one point. They were living in Sioux Falls, SD.

Paul was found in the 1900 census living in Waupun, WI.
Found in the 1910 census living in Sioux Falls, SD with wife Anna and daughter Mildred.

A Valentine Rossman was found in the 1920 census in Berlin, WI. He was possibly a brother to Paul based on age. Any information anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I have hit a wall with my GGrandfather Paul Rossman. He was born 1877 and died 8/25/1914. He married Anna Bronk and they lived in Berlin, WI. They had two children Raymond Paul 3/13/1913 and Mildred Constance 2/14/1909. I believe he worked for the railroads. I can't seem to find anything about him though. Any thoughts? Does anyone know if Walter Rossman (b. abt 1812, NY) is related to Wessel T. B. Rossman (b. 1822, NY - d. 1 Nov 1855, Hinds Co. MS) and Washington Rossman (b. 1822, NY - d. 17 Dec 1857, Hinds Co. MS). The latter two married sisters (daughters of Isaac Newman Selser). I believe his daughter, Kate, married James Alexander Newman and a son, C. B. was living with Letitia Selser Rossman in the 1870 census.

Death of Adam Rossman

Adam Rossman died at his late residence northwest of this village (Oxford) on Feb. 26, 1894, aged 80 years. He was one of the early pioneers of this township, having located here in 1833. His funeral was attended from the Christian church on Wesnesday, at 2 o'clock; services conducted by Rev. S. Snyder. His death removes one of the oldest pioneers of this township, Deacon Wm. M. Betteys being next in line. Thus one by one they are passing away.

This was my 3 Great Grandfather.

I have a Charles Edward Rossman married to Clara Belle Harte. His Parents were Ira Campfield Rossman & Susanna Reed. He Was born in August 1886 In Bellefonte, PA. He Married Clara Belle Harte on May 3, 1915 In Warren, Pa. He Died October 31, 1954 In Franklin, Pa. Had 9 children to Clara Belle. Had 10 brothers & sisters. I have a book on Rossmans written by Marion Rossman. I'll help you if I can.

Sorry Alisha, the book does not say how they died. If you could get a hold of Marion, maybe he would know. My aunt Helen says he even went to Germany to find information on this line of Rossmans. If I talk to Aunt Helen in the next few days, I'll ask her. I know that she has helped many a people with their family trees. I have really just started doing family trees. If there is anything else that I may be able to find out in the book, just give a holler.

I am the 2nd great granddaughter of Jesse Lee m. to Mary Ann Rossman daughter of John Rossman. Jesse and Mary Ann were married in 1827 in the State of New York. Conrad Rossman was a brother of Mary Ann. John Rossman (Mary Ann's father) came from Genesee Co NY in 1831. John had 6 sons and 3 daughters. I have quite a bit of information as I am working on the Lee genealogy. I would be happy to share this information with you. I know John was a decendant of Johannes Roschman (this is well documented). To continue my research, I need to know who John's wife and and parents were. Any help you can give would also be greatly appreciated.

Charles Ernest Rossman lived next to his sister (Augusta Miller) in Kansas on the 1880 census. His mother and two other sisters died in 1877 in Tiffin, Ohio. The family seems to have moved to Kansas at that point. On the census, Charles' father is listed as William Rossman, on other records he is listed as Ernest Rossmann (or on one census - mispelt as rosamund). The Rossmans came from Prussia but from an area which is now part of Poland. I am interested to know your connection to the Rossman family and any other history you know.

Charles Edward Rossman and Clara Belle Hart are my great great grand parents. Their daughter Viola Mae Colwell (Rossman) is my great grandmother.

Just within the last past month Viola's sister Bessie Marie Peterson had passed away.
