I just came across your post. I have been trying to research Almira Lapeous possibly Lappeous. She was born around 1834 in New York married Aseph B Borst who was born Schoharie, New York 1834. Sofar there is only one record of almira and Aseph from a 1880 census, they had the following schildren charles 1854franklin l 1856, albertine 1858, and arthur 1860. I have been trying to find any information on the origin of lapeous, but sofar nothing. There is a possiblility of almira being the sister to your search. but this is all i have.
