I have recently comne into posession of an old family bible which has Roton then changed to Roten genealogy listed, as well as other artifacts, including s few newspaper clippings (not genealogy related) two locks of hair, and a notice of a reunion of California State University to one Mrs. Ralph Krull, who from further research I believe the given name was Ruth.
Events listed begin chronologically with a Roton birth in 1830, and the last event listed is a Franklin Clifton Roten death in 1951.
The only other surname in the record is that of one Mary Hill, who married one F. Roton in 1864.
The first several pages of the bible are missing, so I can't be sure of it's date or publisher, but it looks like an old Scott bible, maybe 1850's vintage.
If you are interested in this bible or it's contents, please contact me by posting a response here or by email.
This posting will be copied to a Roten, Hill, and Krull board, if they exist.
