My family dates back to Moon county. Fathers name is John his brothers are James/Robert/Richard/Wayne(Charles jr.) My grandfather is Charles.He was married to Enid. Im looking to find out how far you have got in the history.

As far as I can tell there are two separate Rouser families in the Pittsburgh area. If you're related to the Moon Twp. Rouser clan contact me. I should be able to fill in any blanks you have in your tree.

Hi; My rouser/rouzer&rowserwas also from penn.My grandparents& their parents family home is now on the greater pittsburg airport,( a homestead ).My grandfathers name was carl wayne & his wife eunice. they had five sons. My uncle Jim Rouser has compiled a lot of history about the family.There is also a rouzer penn. town.

Hi,
Do you know if any of your family came from the Alabama
area. We started out with so many different spelling of the last name I know back in the 1800's it was spelled rouser as time went by it change to Rowser.

Dear Fellow Researchers,

I'm writing to see if we might have any family connections?
My proverbial genealogical dead-end is my paternal grt.grt. grandfather, a man whose surname was Reynolds/Rouse/Rause(n)/Rousen/Rawson/Rowson or something along those lines. His first name is unknown which of course makes him next to impossible to find! Therefore, my grasping at any straws I can find :~)
All I know is that he MAY have been Irish and of a New York banking family, totally unverified, simple family oral history. He MAY or may not have actually married my grt.grt. grandmother, Lucinda Isablle Reynolds who was born in 1854 in Morgan County, Illinois. In any case, they had a child named Claudius (middle name Paul?) who was born in August 1874 in East St. Louis, Illinois. Lucinda had no other children, which is doubly unfortunate as they could have been a possible source of information as well. Lucinda was the daughter of James Madison Reynolds/Runnels and Amelia Hand; her father was Jeremiah Hand who was also one of the earliest settlers of Greene Co., IL (1827).
The end of my knowledge is the death of Mr. "Rowson" circa 1873-1878. The story is that he died in a train accident (probably in St. Louis) while traveling the country with his stable of racing horses. I've searched through many old newspaper articles regarding train accidents and so far have not had any luck. Lucinda remarried to a Thomas Henry Faulkner in 1878 in Sangamon County, Illinois and he subsequently adopted Claudius; erasing the 4 year old's biological surname from our family once & for all.
If you think there might be the slimmest chance that he is from your family tree, I would GREATLY appreciate hearing from you, and I thank you very
much for your time.

i am rouser my moms was born in jackson ms i have plenty realitives in missisippi my great granfather was a rouser i think his name was arthur rouser he married a lady by the name of christina from my understanding was a descendent of choctaw indian

Hi, I am from north Jackson, Mississippi, more specifically Madison County. All of my family their are Rouser's. My great-grandfather was named William Rouser and my grandfather- Nathaniel Rouser. I have been told of being related to Rouser's in Alabama, but I do not know of any different spellings of the name. Also, my great-grandfather did have siblings to be in Tennesee, but I do not have any names? I hope my information helps. It could help both of us. Good luck.

While doing research at the South Carolina Historical Society, I came across the following ROUSER / ROWSER ?ROUSAR Parish entries in Christ Church Parish...

Christ Church Parish Register, Mt. Pleasant, SC:

"Moses JOY was Married to Mary ROWSER June ye 18, 1724"

"Mary ROUSER ye Daughter of Rich ROUSER & Susanna his Wife was born Oct 4 1726 & was Baptized Apr 10 1727"

"Richard ROUSAR son of Richard ROUSAR and Susannah his wife was born Feb 7 1727/8 & was Baptized Mar ye 10th 1727/8"

Richard ROUSAR son of Richard ROUSER and Susanna his wife, was Buried July 8 1729"

There are two different Rouser/Rouzer families from Allegheny Co.(Pittsburgh) area. The one line I have almost completely documented up to about 1940 time frame. The other I have a little on. My line started in Moon township. Glad to share what I have.

My family is from Pittsburgh, Pa. area. Have alot of
family still living there and my sister Nancy Rouser is
doing study of Rouser clan. Who knows we could be

I found two other Rouser...(other spellings) from the Missouri marraiges. Ida Ruser and also spelled Rushin. Also found a Malinda Ruser. I think they may be my (Louisa) ggrandmother's sisters. Louisa's mother was german..when she passed away she was over 100 and her name was Mary Hagler. I am still trying to find her maiden name.

As far as I know, most of my relatives were from Ripley and Lauderdale county Tennessee. My grandparents Thomas and Alice Rouser. My parents James and Daisy.

my name is felicia rouser, born to daisy ann askew and james thomas rouser in ripley, tn. grandmother was alice and grandfather thomas "t" rouser. i have reason to believe that as african american decendants with the rouser surname we may have french connections via louisiana slave holders. the name has dialect similar to rousseaux. if you have any info which my support my thoughts please e-mail me.

Looking for the parents of Myrtle A. Rouser. She was born September 21, 1885 (not sure where). She married Harrison B. Moore in September 1911. They had 4 children: Cleada, Ralph, Harold and Audrey. Myrtle died in 1979.

by any chance did any of your ancestors come from Alabama. My mother's family are Rowser. But I found out
that their last name was spelled Rouser back in 1870 on the census. So as time went by the spelling changed

i am looking for information about my family history. i know that my fathers fathers name was ray rouser i believe. and that his name was misspelled at the time of his birth. i also know that they have german in them, and that they are from bedford pa. and saxton pa.my fathers relatives are shaw and weaver.
