My great grandfather was Albert Peter Route, I have been unable to find a date of birth for him. I have 3 different sources that all give a different year of birth but I can't find him on the birth indexes for any year!
I do know from his marraige certificate (1933 to Alice Amy Warren in Foulden, Norfolk) that his father was James Route.
The cert gave his age as being born about 1908. His obituary following his death in 1940 (during an air raid in London) gives his year of birth about 1903. I am ordering his death cert to see if that provides any clues but I'm not hopeful as death certs have never really been much help to me before!
The only other info I have on him from the obituary is he is buried in Foulden and that his parents were well known in the Walpole Saint Peter area of Norfolk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
