Bertha J. Rouzer

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bertha Josephine Rouzer, 86, of Clinton Avenue, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Raymond and Josephine Shoemaker of Clinton Avenue, with whom she resided.

Born Sept. 14, 1910, in Hustontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David E. and Josephine E. Chesnut Strait.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Rouzer, in 1990.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Josephine Shoemaker of Chambersburg; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and one grandson.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Bishop Bobby Fike will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown.

Friends may call at the funeral home today one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fulton County Medical Center, 216 S. First St., McConnellsburg, Pa. 17233; or Fulton County Library, 227 N. First St., McConnellsburg, Pa. 17233.
