I am not familiar with my grandfather's cousins. My grandfather was named Charlie and his mothers name was Bessie McDonald and his fathers name was Washington Irving Rowser. His sisters name was Mabel and she passed away when she was 16. His brothers name was Sam.

In 2000 my grandmother Estella Rowser Eaton died. She had brothers named Morgan, George, Charlie, Eugene, Tom, Lee, all are deceased except for Charlie and she had sisters named Lueetta, Lett, Henryetta,Suzanna, all from Demopolis Alabama. Also Lee Rowser I live in Saraland

No I vaguely remember a cousin that my father told me about when I was a child. I believe that her nickname was Bear?. I would love to know about any relatives in the Los Angeles area. I have some cousins on my mother's side in Monroe Valley.

I was just in Los Angeles this past July my mother's mother
family reunion. Did you know that you have a lot of family
in California? (Rowser) I met Preston in person at the last
family reunion. I think the next one may be this summer
in July. I need pictures of all the children of Jacob and Moriah. Preston sent me a picture on Brett Rowser that is the
only one I have.

Nice to meet you, I told my father about this site. My parents refuse to buy a computer, I am contemplating buying one for them. I printed out all of the messages on this board and gave mailed them to him. My parents Frank (Preston's, we all call Preston Nick) and Lucille Rowser live in Detroit along with their sister Ethel Caddell and John Rowser.

I live in Los Angeles, my home phone is (213) 383-9596 feel free to call anytime. I am trying to learn as much as possible about both sides of my family so I would love to talk to you. What specific information are you looking for? My father seems to know quite a bit about the Lomaxs and Rowsers. His mother was Elizabeth Lomax I believe that she passed away in 1956.

When is the next Rowser family reunion? We are attending the one on my mother's side of the family next July.

I apologize for the lateness of this reply, but I just found this site. My father is Frank D. Rowser of Detroit, I grew up knowing about the Lomaxs and Nixons in Chicago. My grandparents were Frank and Elizabeth Rowser, both deceased. I have two uncles Nick (Preston) and John Rowser, I had three aunts Dorothy (NY-Deceased), Berniece (Detroit-Deceased) and Ethel of Detroit.

Both Bernice and Dorothy are now deceased There is a branch of our family living in Demopolis. Luke and Sarah Rowser. I am African American. I know that my father’s people hail from Alabama. We had a relative by the name of Ba Missy (Baby Missy) who I believe, was Luke’s grandmother. She died in the 80’s at 100+ years I believe. I am finding so much information on that name. I have quite a bit of information on the Rowsers who came from PA to Scott Co., IA. John Sullivan Rowser and his wife Jane Robeson were the ancestors who went to IA in 1844. The family lived in Scott and Cedar counties. I am happy to share. Maggi Rowser Holcombe
