Surnames: Rice, Royce, Marcais, Meyers, Fear, Barker
Looking for info on Rice/Royce family in upstate NY. The name was originally Rice, and was changed to Royce abt.1885 by Alta Martha Rice. She married her 2nd cousin, Friend Walter Rice.
Friend and his brother, Charles were both in the Civil War. Both enlisted at the same time in Batavia, Wyoming Co., NY.
Friend was my gg grandfather.
