It's been a long time since you posted a message on ancestry.com but hopefully you're still checking the website. My father's family is from Lukovdolska Draga a stone's throw to Severin Na Kupi, Croatia. He has two brothers who live in the Toronto area. My one uncle emigrated to Canada in the late 50's, father in the late 60's and my third uncle in the early 70's. Their aunts remained in their family home until the 80's. Perhaps we are related?

What about Catholic? In Slovenia we have many Rozman's, it is one of the very common family name and at least 99 % are Catholic. We have some few hundred Jews in Slovenia and I do not know any Rozman among them (Of all family names ROZMAN is the 20 most frequent. - <a href="http://www.stat.si/eng/imena_priimki.asp?ime=&amp;priimek=Rozman&amp;spol" target="_blank">http://www.stat.si/eng/imena_priimki.asp?ime=&amp;priimek=Ro...</a>=). But other Rozman's, who are not Jews, I know. Does it help in any way?

I am looking for information on my Rozman family. My Great Grandmother was Catherine Rozman. Her parents were Joseph Rozman and Catherine (Szabo) Rozman. I am not sure where excactly iin Hungary they originated from. My Great Grandmother Catherine married Thomas Warga in the late 1800's. They had my Grandmother Mary Warga (in Kapca) after losing two children to an illness. I pray that I can find anyone that knows of the Rozman's that I am inquiring about. Thank you.

I did an Ask Jeeves search last year and Rozman is super-Jewish--They showed an old picture of Schlomo Rozman in Israel, etc. etc. But yes, there must have been a split where some converted to Catholicism.

My great grandmothers name was Josephine Rozman (it was later changed to Rosman) My great grandfathers name was Andrew Julius Grose (his original surname was Juhasz) We are interested in any connection to the Rozmans or of any history of the Rozman/ Juhasz / Grose connection. To the best of my knowlege Andrew his brother John and another brother George came to america in the around the turn of the century. It is known that Andrew and John eventually moved to Helena, Montana. Also it is known that George moved back to Hungary due to family needs on the farm. It is not known why The two Juhasz boys changed their name to Grose.

The majority of my Rozman side of the family are Catholic and lived in the Detroit, Mich. area, prior from Calumet, Mich., over from Slovania area and were Croation. However, I have heard that there are many Rozman's in Israel. I have no idea where any split came, if any. It does seem plausible as I have many Jewish friends and find myself quite comfortable with the non-religious one's. Also I was married to a Jewish lady up until this year.

ROZMAN family name

Paul Jay Rozman: I am also researching the family name of Rozman. My grandfather Bozo Rozman (Robert Rossman in U.S.A) was also from Croatia (Kuterevo). He lived in Buhl, Minnesota (5 miles from Chisholm) also worked in the iron ore mines there. He married Mary Eva Bukovac (also from Kuterevo). Bozo's father's name was George Rozman and he married Kata Marinic. Is there any chance we might be sharing the same relatives? E-mail me if you have the chance (<a href="mailto://dbeli@dwave.net">dbeli@dwave.net</a>)

Minnesota Rozmans

I am looking for any information on Rozmans living in the Ely, Minnesota area. Especially Katherine Rozman, who had four siblings, Mary, Sophie, Fran, and Dan. I need to know who their parents were. I am not sure but I believe they immigrated from Poland, Yugoslavia, or Slovenia.<br>Thanks<br>
