Hi Krista - I suspect you may be looking for some of the Swiss/Austrian members of a family I have at least 14 way of spelling the surname. I know them as Ruffner. Try the Ruffner message board. Yoder is a name from the Lancaster County area of PA. My Ruffners came from Maienfeld, Canton of Zurich. At one time they crossed using the name Offner, the mountain pass from Feldkirk, which I believe is in Austria today. Back in the 1700's Germany was many duchy's, princedoms, etc. Germany/Austria was to be identified later in their history.
It may be better if you can get together specific names and dates. First names help to identify a person out of many. It has taken me many years to get my Ruffners put together as one name/family.
