I have a good but of information on the Ruffin family in south Mississippi.

william Ruffin, born 1792, married Sara Ann Baggett in Ga during 1818. Family moved to South Alabama by 1820 and then on to Jasper County, Mississippi by 1840. Children were: Nancy (1819), Nicholas Denson (1822), Amanda Josephene (1826), Martha (1827), William Baggett (1828), John (1833), Jane (1834), and Thomas T. (1838). All the children were born in Alabama. William died in in the 1870's and is burried in Jasper County, Mississippi. He is burried in an ols cemetery in Section 32, Township 1 North, Range 10 East.
