Sarah Rufford bc 1756 daughter of Philip Rufford and Margaret. Siblings included Francis and Edward. Believe Philip's parents to have been Francis Rufford and Mary Witty (IGI) who's children included Francis, John, James, Benjamin, Sarah as well as Philip. Francis (Snr) may have been the son of Francis and Sarah of Sapey Pritchard, Worcester.

William George Rufford (1872) is my great grandfather. Kathleen Maude Rufford my father's (Henry Rufford) sister.

I have recently made contact in Australia with Peter Rufford who is the grandson of William George Rufford's brother, Henry Alfred Rufford who emigrated to Australia from Ipswich in 1980. His sister Elizabeth emigrated with him.

Just a short message but can supply more detail if you are interested.

George Rufford

I have been studying the Ruffords from Edlesborough in Buckinghamshire from who my mother a Ruffett decended from. The period I have been doing is the 1200's to the late 1600's. It may be that your Ruffords decended from the same family as they where church bell makers back in the 1300's and also had a lot to do with the church and the kings of Engand. I hope to write a book some time and what information I am gathering if I can get it confirmed will rewrite the history books on church bells. But that is still a few years of yet.
