Hi!! I'm looking for information about my great grandmother, Maria de la Luz Ruiz Palomino, anything about her, her parents, siblings, etc.

She was born 11 Apr 1893 at Mexico, D.F., Mexico. She had two kids with Antonio Jane (not sure if they ever married), 1. - Alfredo Jane Ruiz (b.1909) and 2. - Mario Jane Ruiz (b.1913). She died on 26 Feb 1968 in Mexico, D.F., Mexico.

Orbie "Buzz" Ruis, 75, died Wednesday morning, February 1, 2006, at Glenvue Nursing Home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Lowndes County native had lived in Reidsville for the past 20 years. He was retired from Georgia State Prison as a Correctional Officer. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Cat Creek Baptist Church in Valdosta. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Crout.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Ruis of Reidsville; two daughters, Virginia Anne Chapman of Jacksonville and Valerie Buckner of South Carolinia; two sons, Ricky Ruis of Valdosta and Glen Ruis of Adel; a niece, Ann (John) Shytle of Valdosta; two nephews, Leroy Fender of Jacksonville and Terrell Ruis of Moultrie; a special godchild, Dallas Smith of Reidsville; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, in the chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P O Box 531, Statesboro, Georgia 30459.

Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home of Reidsville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.

buddy ruis is my father and my mother is annie youmans.both parents are deceased now.
i have one brother and three sisters. they are william chester, marie, cleo and martha. all are deceased now except for cleo who is still living in lowndes co.
