I have read a reference regarding a John Rushton of New York, wife Sarah in 1719. It indicates he accepted an apprentice into indenture in November of that year. Is anyone aware of what John's occupation may have been at that time?

Currently searching for lead to check out British apprenticeship records as John would have had to be over 25 and a Freeman in order to accept an apprentice. If he were born in England there should be a record. Has anyone found an indenture book for New York State for that period, or was this a random record?

I haven't found a record of marriage for he and Sarah, but have four possibilities in England from four different regions.

I connect through their son John born 1727 marriage to Mary Coon. I presume there were a number of other children born to John and Sarah Rushton between 1719 and 1727.

Anything that will help me narrow things down at London PRO and Guildhall Archives appreciated.
