I am researching the family of my maternal great-great-greatgrandfather, James Ryan, originally from Pallasgreen, Co Limerick but he & family ended up on a farm in Dromalty, Cappamore, nearby.
His brothers were (not necessarily in birth order) Jeremiah (Kilduff Castle), Michael (Kilduff Castle), Daniel (Corelish), Maurice (Corelish), Matthew (Brackyle) & Philip (blacksmith & wagonmaker). The locations where they lived were noted by my gg-grandmother, Catherine Ryan Hodges, dictating to her daughter in the late 1800's. However, she had left Dromalty in 1848, so the locations were not necessarily current, as she did not stay in touch with her Irish family.
In researching the Matthew Ryan name in Pallasgreen area, I found the following family, and wonder if it might be "my" Matthew Ryan:
Matthew Ryan & Bridget Raleigh (Rawley), married 6 Mar 1832, Pallasgreen.

Mary Ryan, bap 26 Mar 1835 (sponsors William Bourke, Judith Ryan)
Judith Ryan bap 18 Nov 1837 (sponsors John Ryan, Honora Sweeny)
James Ryan bap 17 Jan 1841 (sponsors Patrick Ryan, Juliana Shea)

Thomas Ryan bap 24 Jun 1847 (sponsors NMS, Mary Ryan)
Julian Ryan bap 12 Jan 1851 (sponsors Jerry Ryan, Mary Brien)
Welcome any info on this family!
