I have some army gear from WW1 that I found in my grandfather's garage with the last name RYEN stamped in it. I am not sure who it belonged to. It was basically a soldiers kit, with gauze, the boot covers, a postcard, etc. Please let me know if you think this may be part of your family and if you would like me to send it to you.

My grandfather is a Saunders from Delaware county, Iowa. He is not sure where it came from. Let me know if you are interested.

I think I may have e-mailed you already with
question of any connection. There was a Viers
Ryen looking for Nels Ryen. I haven't any
information on brothers of Nels so don't know
if same family or not. Am trying to find
confirmation, my gg grandfather was Nels (Nils)

Ryen Reunion

I just attended a small Ryen reunion held in
San Bernardino CA at Arrowhead Springs.
My mother Gladys and her two sisters Myrtle
and Harriet and their brother Gene are the
surviving children of Hans Ryen, son of Vier.

I am looking for anyone who may be related to
the Vier's brother, namely Nels Ryen. Family
lived in Illinois (1880's) and some moved to Iowa.
