This sounds like it might be my grandmother's line. My Grandmother was Beatrice (Oliver) Pollard, daughter of Thomas and Ollie (Brannon) Oliver. I think she was born with a different first name and changed it to "Bea" They were all Oklahoman.

My Friend was born 10/10/1954 in San Francisco, She was named Suzanne Ryles/Sirak.She was given up for adoption.Her birth fathers last name was RYLES.He was 26 yrs old at the time of her birth in 1954.Her birth father had blond hair and blue eyes and a fair complexion.He was 6'2" He was born in Florida. He had 1 full brother and 2 half siblings.He was of the baptist faith. He graduated from High school, served in the military,completed college and worked as a bank teller. Her Paternal grandfather (RYLES) owned and operated a prosperous bar, he was divorced and remarried.
My Mother(last name Sirak) was 20 years old at the time of my birth in 1954. She was born in Pennsylvania and was of German, Irish and Hungarian decent. She was 5'6" tall. She had chestnut brown hair.She had 4 brothers and 1 sister.

I am looking for a G.W. Ryles from PA that dated a young woman by the last name of Sirak(age about 26) in 1954.
A newborn child by the name of Suzanne M. Ryles was put up for adoption in 1954.The Father was G.W. Ryles the Mothers last name was Sirak.
Sirak went to San Francisco in 1954 to have the child . The child was born at St Mary's in San Francisco. She was named Suzanne M. Ryles.Suzanne was adopted by a wonderful Family and has a good life.Suzanne was then renamed Polly. Polly is my good friend I am trying to find out if she has any 1/2 brothers and sisters out there.

Dr. W.M. Ryles dies at home in Ashford.

Dr. W.M. Ryles, oldest practicing physician in Houston County, died at his home in Ashford early today after a short illness. He was 87.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of his son from Ga., and will be announced later by Ward-Wilson Funeral Home.

Dr. Ryles, a former member of the Houston County Medical Society, began the practice of medicine in Ashford 65 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie F. Ryles of Ashford, a son, William H. Ryles of Warner Robbins Field, Ga., and a brother, Dr. C.N. Ryles of Marianna, Florida.

I am from Rabbit Hash and my grandmother's maiden name was Cricket Ryle, I think. She married a Williamson. Maybe we are related. Of course i believe there were multiple strains of Ryles in that area at one time. I will find out more info from my mother.

Yes, I think your Nola is my great aunt. Her father was William F. Oliver, mother's name unknown. She had a brother, Thomas Issac Oliver who is my grandfather. William F. Oliver remarried to Jennie and had two children, Verna and "Bud". They are half siblings to Nola and Thomas. I am looking for information on William F. My grandmother's maiden name was Ryles. She first married Leonard Adams in Baldwin County, Georgia, divorced him and later married Mr. Wright in Terra Haute, Indiana. There just doesn't seem to be much out there on the Ryles name. I guess I'll have to really buckle down on that research for a while. GrandFather Bluford Clore & GrandMother Alberta (Ryle) Clore are buried there at the East Bend Methodist Cemerty going North down from Rabblt Hash, Ky if I remember right so is my Uncle Edgar C. Clore from them below them. The Gerenal Store I don't know if it still is was owned by Cousins also there. Last I heard they lease it out or rented it out to others for business. How is it over there? Haven't been there for awhile with my Husband went to Old Timers Day one year with Cousins Paul & Viola M. (Horton) Clore in fact she started me on the Family Tree. Rylee's in Mississippi

I saw your reference to Mississippi and was a little curious. My great great grandparents, John Frank Rylee and Sarah Blythe was married in Alcorn, MS in 1847. Unfortunately, the only children that I have for John Frank and Sarah is my great grandfather William John Rylee who was born in Tishomingo Co., MS on 20 Aug 1949. William married Malinda Gardenhire in Scotts, Arkansas in Feb 1870. William had the following children Mary Narcissa, George Allen, Emma Malinda, Lilly May, Willie Gay, Nancy, Susan, Edward James (my grandfather), Charles Wesley.

I don't know how long they were in Mississippi, before moving on to Arkansas and then Texas. I want to find where John Frank Rylee orginated from. I know that they came from Ireland, but am at a lost as to where they were here in the US. We have a suspicion that they may have came from Atlanta, Georgia. I'd also like to know how many times the spelling for the surname was changed. I've read several articles that start out talking about a Rylee and then his daughter or son is referenced as Riley. If my great great grandfather marriage record index has his name spelled Ryler.

Unfortunately, my ancestors including my parents are deceased. Any info anyone can give me I really appreciate.
