Some time ago there were several postings concerning the children of Pliny Sackett (b.1753 d. 1830) and Elizabeth Kellogg (d. 1807), mainly the number of children (according to the two prominent sources on the family -- Weygant (sp?) book about the Sacketts in America and the Kellogg genealogy). I received a copy of a bible record from a cousin of mine giving the full listing of the children (including the death record of one of the daughters). My cousin and I are descendants of Pliny and Elizabeth's son Royal (b. 1784 d. 1859) and his wife Eunice Hastings (d. 1858). The Weygant book lists their children, my line going through their daughter Lucretia Marilla (b. 1814 d. 1903), but only that she married a "Mr. Root". "Mr. Root" was Enoch Root (son of John Root and Lydia Stevens), b. 1807 d. 1872.
If anyone would like further information concerning Royal and Eunice's family, please let me know.
I am interested in learning whether Pliny either fought in any capacity in the Revolutionary War or signed an Oath of Allegiance to the American Colonies (his age suggests that either might be a possiblity).
Thanks,
Lara G.
