I have seen numerous sources that say he was a son of Leonard Sailors who died in1811 Pendleton Co SC. I disagree. I think that Leonard Sailors (1778-living 1850 White Co TN) who married Amy Gant was the son of “Old” Leonard Sailors (d.1811). The 1810 SC census shows that there WERE three Leonard Sailors (see below).

NOTE: Leonard, Isaac, John & Abraham Jr are probably children of Abraham Sailors SR & Elizabeth Love; Nimrod Sailors is the son of Leonard Sailors & Sarah Johnson. The fact that Isaac Sailors had a son born 1820-1825 makes me wonder if Isaac had two wives–Nancy May Sailors (b.1812) would have been too young–maybe she was a 2nd wife?)
