My husband's grandfather is named Ignatius Salle. I think his mom was from North Dakota. His wife is named Mary.

Searching for more info on William Salle b.1813 VA, married Mary C. (unkown maiden name) b. GA. They lived in Baldwin Co., AL and moved to Missouri sometime around Civil War. Later ended up in Kansas living with daughter Rebecca Salle's family. Rebecca married James Stewart.

I have been researching this family. Such a circus. I am hoping that you can help me figure out who the parents of John M. Sallee born June 1867 in Mercer County, KY.

I am confused to who his parents are. He was raised by Andrew J. Salle and Lucy Ann Divine but I am not sure Andrew is his father.

In the U.S. Census > 1870 United States Federal Census > Kentucky > Mercer > Precinct 2,

Andrew Sallee is living with his mother Nancy and whom I assume is his sisters Mary and Margaret. Three year old John M. and brother Garrett age two is also living with him. In 1880 Andrew is shown raising these two boys. Can you tell me who the parents of John and Garrett Sallee are?

I have scanned a newspaper article on J.C. Salle, age 35. Dated 10 Aug 1920. It tells of his being jailed, trying to commit suicide.
