Vincenzo Salvi

Looking for information on Vincenzo Salvi who was born on Sept 30 1873 in Salerno was probably an orphan or illitimate. Was brought up by Giovanni Mauro and Filomena Rocciola who were from Acquara and Vetri Sul Mare. We think they might have been relatives. Giovanni and Filomena had other children - all girls and named Maria Laura, Anna, Maria Teresa and Maria Gaetana. Vincenzo, who retained his Salvi name was not adopted but raised by this family. He came to the US in 1890 and married an Annina Ioia from Laurenzana, Basilicata. Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated. My great-grandmother was Ernesta Salvi; it was been born to Strozza - Bergamo at june, 26 1864. It was the wife of Angelo Gotti. I wanto to have a contact with you in order to excange information about Salvi Family

I would like to contact anyone connected with a Salvi family that were located in Nevada. I believe they were from Italy originally. My grandparents had a photo of Mr. Salvi that I would like to make available to anyinterested descendent.

Hi Maria,
Actually I have since found out that these Salvi's were not in Nevada but in Plumas Co. California. They were ranchers and probably came from Switzerland not Italy. They may have been nephews of a man with the surname Protti-according to census records. That is the only info I have. Ring any bells??

Charles H. VAIL wed Alida BRITTAN.
Their son Robert R. VAIL born circa 1859 wed Helen LENFESTEY and they had a son they named Robert Brittan VAIL.
Robert Brittan VAIL born circa 1900 wed Hazel BROWN and they had 2 children in San Mateo:
1) Barbara J born circa 1922 who wed a BLUM and has sons:
Arthur Stuart BLUM and
Bruce Brittan BLUM
2) Robert Brittan VAIL born circa 1931 who wed?

Decendents of Charlie Salvi, Canada/ U.S.A.

I am trying to contact the decendents of Charlie Salvi and his wife, I believe they had a Daughter, and a Grand-son.

Charlie was married before to my Grand-mothers Sister Emma Caroline (Sharp) but possibly a different name as she was a Banardos child and Sharp was her name when she left England but I don`t know if she would of been adopted by the people she would of been living with.

She and one of her Sisters Rosaline were sent to work on a farm in Peterborough, Canada in 1909. after their family were put into care when their Mother died

I believe that when she married Charlie Salvi they moved to the States , but the marriage marriage failed and Emma returned to Canada.

I am also looking for a Salvi. His name was Antonio Salvi. I don't have a birthdate on him, but he was married to a Filomena ? on August 7, 1865 in Teramo, Italy. They had a daughter Giuseppina Salvi who was born about 1868 and married a Domenico Muscella. These two are my husband's gr grandparents. Do these people sound familier??

His father was Rodolfo Salvi and he too was born in Venice. Rodolfo's father and Grandfather were named Gaitano Salvi and were born in Lendinara, Italy. I am desperately seeking any information on my deceased Grandparents Albert and Josephina (Perrero) Salvi. Albert died 1932/1934. Josephina died aproximately 3 years earliar. They had one child together Albert Chet Salvi, JR., dob August 1923. Born in Southern California. They also owned a restaurant in Cardiff by the Sea, California.
Albert Jr., had one brother from a previous relationship of his mother Josephina Perrero.

No ringing of any bells here. But we don't know much about the Salvi side. My hsband did not have anything to do with his father until just before he died. - the usual nasty divorce etc. Would love to see that photo though. My grandmother (deceased 1968) was Teresa Larko. Her maiden name was Apicella. I believe she was married three times. I believe one of her husbands was Michael Salvi, whom I also believe to be the father of my mother, (Josephine Salvi, deceased 1962), also the father of Mary, (deceased 1980"s), Emma, (deceased 1999), and Rita Carter still living in Uniontown, Pa. Also alive are Angelo, (living in Uniontown, Pa), Teresa Larko, (living in Uniontown, Pa), and Joseph, (living in Portland Oregon).
