Surnames: Sampson, Jones, Morrison, Conyers, Sansom, Sansome, Newham

John Sampson(cooper)appeared in the Coopers members list 1752, his father was Joseph (coachman East Smithfield). Only one matching baptism in 1723 (Joseph/Elizabeth) so far but the only marriage I've seen is a Fleet marriage in Stepney to Elizabeth Morrison in 1709 which would put Josephs birth in the 1680's early 1690's Children of Joseph & Elizabeth on IGI between 1712-1730
John 1712; Mary 1715 St Dunstan, Stepney
Joseph 1716 St James Clerkenwell
Eleanor 1720; John 1722; Sarah 1725; Jeremiah 1727; Elizabeth 1730 christened at St Mary Whitechapel, Stepney (all 5 born at Blue Anchor Yard) Excellent map of the area here

A possible relative of Joseph in this record at St Botolph Aldgate 24 Mar 1731 Ellenor Sampson dau of Wm & Mary Red Cross St, East Smithfield. Red Cross St on the other side of East Smithfield opposite Blue Anchor Yd. There was also a family of Quaker Sansomes from Oare, Berkshire at East Smithfield. John Sansome (cooper) & Elizabeth Conyers had 13 children at E Smithfield including one Joseph in 1715 (died 1716)Samuel Sansome 1697-1698; John Sansome 1698; James Sansum 1702-1702; Samuel Sansome 1702-1704; William Sansom 1704; Hannah Sansome 1706; Samuel Sansom 1707; Sarah Sansom 1708-1709; James Sansom 1710-1710; James Sansom 1711-1712; Sarah Sansom 1712; Mary Sansom 1714-1714. Elizabeth Conyers died 1721 E Smithfield & John remarried to Mary Newham & he died at Southwark 1753
Ann Paggett married a John Sampson in 1725 not Joseph. Another John S married Ann Cocken 1722 & the Nat Archives have a divorce record in 1730 between John Sampson (haberdasher) and Anne - both of St Mary Bothaw citing adultery.
Children of John Sampson & Martha Warden (married 1700) Charles 1702-1706; John 1704-1706; Edward 1706; John 1717.
I'll be putting some of these familes in my main tree shortly, including the family in Barbados/London
