Beadie E. Arterburn Brierly, 86, of Columbus died at 5:15 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Brierly was employed at Gene’s Bakery and Cafeteria formore than 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.
The funeral will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Make Malinsky officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Lamb, Ky., May 29, 1920, Mrs. Brierly was the daughter of Wevie and Eula Eplin Samson. She married Ernest “Bart” Arterburn June 17, 1934. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1975. She married Eugene Brierly in 1878 and he preceded her in death in 1991.
Survivors include sons, Ray (Mary) Arterburn of Summerfield, Fla., Larry (Shirley) Arterburn and Robert (Sandy) Arterburn, both of Columbus and John (Ann) Arterburn of Summerfield, Fla.; stepdaughters, Sharon (Dick) Wand of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Suzanne (Brian) Young of Wellington, Fla., Jean (Jerry) Olson of Durham, N. H>, and Anne (Joel) Fischer of Porter, Okla.; sisters, Betty Foist of Columbus, and Marie Frankland of Florida; 10 grandchildren; an 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son, William Arterburn; and brothers, Phil and Sam Samson.
