Hon. Lee R. Sanborn, one of the best known men in Niagara County, died suddenly at his home in the village of Sanborn Wednesday night, of heart disease. He was born in the village of Sweden, Monroe County, on August 9, 1831. His father was the Rev. E. C. Sanborn. He came to Niagara County when a boy, and in 1846 settled where the village of Sanborn now is. The deceased served two years in the Legislature. In 1870 with the late Col. Payne of North Tonawanda, and in 1871 with Hon. John E. Pound of Lockport.
