I am descended from Henry Simeon Saunders. I found this out after taking a DNA test and compared it to Alton Sanders, brother to R.S. Sanders. R.S. wrote the book Ancestors and Descendants of Henry Simeon Saunders. Although I am related to Henry Simeon, we have not been able to find out excatly how.

My ggg grandfather was Robert Sanders. Robert was born abt 1800 and married Sarah Ann Phillips 12 Dec 1826 in Morgan Co., GA. Henry Simeon's father George Saunders lived in Morgan Co., GA during the same time my Robert lived there. As a matter of fact, George died there in 1826. According to DNA, I am related to Henry with an almost exact match. I was one away in one category of the 25 marker test. We think Robert may have been the son of George Saunders by a previouos marriage, or possibly one of George's brothers. If you can help us figure this out I sure would appreciate it. I would be glad to share more information with you.
