I found a story that might make ancestry records make more sense for Henry Simeon Sanders. I admit, I was quite confused with census records on Ancestry not matching for this man. The story below explains a lot. The story is as follows:

"Henry Simeon left his 1st wife, Arphy Sims, and the children, and never returned. He changed the spelling of his name from Saunders to Sanders about 1834-1835. He married again, Sarah Ann Elizabeth Harrison, abt 1835. They moved to Texas. He fathered 14 more children. Later, his 1st wife Arphy and their grown children, moved to Texas, also, living close to him."

There are approx. 19 children fathered by Henry Simeon Sanders, 5 with Arphy Sims and 14 with Sarah Ann Elizabeth Harrison.

I hope this helps. I am stuck on Henry's parents, several ancestry records and trees are conflicting.

I am the daughter of Terry Dale Sanders. I see the surname Kitchens referenced in your thread. Are you related to a Kitchens? How is the Kitchens family related to the Sanders? I ask because Sanders is my fathers name, but I have a Kitchens line on my Mothers side as well. I hope there is not incest involved.
