My family was pretty good. We did not believe in asserting the privilege over another black person.
We are in no similar to the behavior that you saw then or with the black on black hate that you see today.
So the answer is no.
Now I am sure the progenitor did, maybe in the Caribbeans.
But the Chappells and the Watsons (mediterranean connection) were in-laws and my grandparents were probably no less than 4th cousins.
So in a lot of ways they were like most people, they wanted someone that you know, someone you know about them and their family.
