trying to find information about two Sandifer (also have seen it Sandefer) families. The Sandifers were probably brothers who married McGregor sisters by c. 1794 as they were married when the girls father died.

John Sandifer married Francis McGregor d/o John McGregor
Robert Sandifer married Cinthey (or something close to Cynthia)McGregor d/o John McGregor
The McGregors were from Northampton Co., NC however the fathers estate was settled in Anson Co., NC from what I can gather.

A John Sandefer bought property in Northampton Co. NC in 1816 but I do not know if this is the John mentioned above. The land was bought from a William McGregor so seems connected.

The Robert Sanifer family (wife Centhey McGregor) moved to LA where from the information I have all their children were born. Best I can tell they had about 5 boys and 1 girl. Robert may have died by 1819 as it appears he was dead at the time of his daughters marriage but the mother was living at the time.

I am trying to nail down the ages of the McGregor girls who married the Sandifers. I am trying to research the McGregor family they came from to find out if the wife mentioned in their fathers will was their mother or if it was a earlier wife.
