I found a Lackey ship captain leaving Maryland and coming to Virginia from Maryland . Then, I found an Adam Lackey marrying in Guilford, NC in 1778 to Janet Burney. He was born in Maryland and she was born in NC. 2nd he married a Catherine Lester in NC. She was born in Alabama. Then I found a Thomas Lackey of Iredell NC in 1841 WB2/ p. 289
Also, a Thomas J. Lackey in Cleveland NC in 1871 WB 2/56. There was a William Lackey in Iredell NC in the 1851 Will Book 1, p. 47. William Lackey in Iredell 1820 WB B, p. 98. John Lackey in 1796-Orange County, NC WB C, p. 81. I think we should look into these Lackeys since they might be the ones that marry into our Sansoms of Texas
