I have heard that my last name comes from Austria, Hungary and Germany and it was pronounced Shunta.
I would like to know more information about the first Santa families in Europe, and that's all I want to know.

George Santa

Hi, I'm trying to find out more about the descendants of George Santa (Jurica Sente), who immigrated to the US in 1914 from Yugoslavija. His wifes name was Kristina. She followed him from a place called Stubice to the US about 1919. They settled in the Cleveland, Ohio area and had two sons, George and Carl. George got married and had kids. As far as I know, Carl did not have any children. Kristina died early of cancer. Thank you for your help.

My great grandfather was Jim Santa. He was born, I think, between 1915 and 1925. I know that he was in West Virginia in 1944. His parents came over from Sicily. I'm not sure if he was born here or there. He died in the late 70's, early 80's (before 1982) in St. Petersburg, FL. Is anyone here in this Santa line or know anything about it?

Dear Bruno Santa:
I am new to this web site and am interested in searching my family history. I read the message board and to my delight I saw your message to Leonard Santa and then to my surprise I read your refrence to a Robert Santa whom came to visit in Italy. I think that may have been my cousin since I know of no other Santa's in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have always been very curioos about my Italian heritage. My father says that we are from a town called Castelrossa in Northern Italy. Is that the town in which you are from? Could you please E-Mail me? I would love to know any information you may have. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Fathers Family

Hi there my name is Jeannie Hawkins. I grew up a Santa in Canada. My fathers name is Josef Santa. He came to Canada when he was 19 years old from Chechzoslovakia. My family has not had any contact with his side of the family. I am very interested in finding out any information that I can about them. He was born to Alzbeta Santa and Zoltar Pristitz. His mother gave him her surname because she was the only child born to her parents. I do not have thier names. My father had one brother named Stephan and three sisters named Alzbeta, Edith, and Susan. All of his siblings have the surname Pristitz. The last I know is that Alzbeta married a man with the name of Vincent Burton. I am not sure if this is a good place to look. But I thought it was worth a shot. So if anyone has any information that would be wonderful. Thank you
