Hi,
I am researching my father's side of the family, who originate from Robles in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. My Granfather's name was Lorenzo Santiago, born in 1929 to Nicomedes Santiago and Valentina Serrano. Nicomedes is most certainly a Greek name. His children were:
Confessor
Damaso
Filomena
Nicanor
Esmeralda
Cecilio
Generosa
Etanislao
Salvador
Gregorio
Eleuterio
Diego
Dionisio
Damaso
Agredor
Angelo
Fermin
Pablo
Paula
Sindo
Susana
Lorenzo
Many of these names are of Greek or Latin origin. Nicomedes' father's name was Candido. I cannot trace any further back than that. Is anyone aware of any Greek migration to Puerto Rico and to the San Sebastian or Karst region in general?
