Richard Alfred Santistevan, 40, of Moriarty passed away June 10 in Moriarty.
He was born Jan. 18, 1964, in Albuquerque to Jose and Mary (Vigil) Santistevan.
He is survived by his parents, Jose and Mary Santistevan of Moriarty; one brother, Lawrence Santistevan of Moriarty; six sisters, Louise and husband Rick Clayton of Palm Coast, Fla., Terri Santistevan of Albuquerque, Veronica and husband Pete Duran of Rio Rancho, Victoria and husband Mike Otero of Winslow, Ariz., Gloria Santistevan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Valerie Thurman of Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was recited Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. A Mass was celebrated Wednesday, also at the Church, with Father Anthony Martinez officiating. Burial and military honors followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
