Hey Ramon,
Your mother was is right, all the Santos' from that region are related. Sinc your grandparents came from the Canary Islands, that mean that they are decendants of one of the four Santos brothers that left Spain. I was told that of the four brothers, one went to the Canary Islands, One went to North America, one went to Mexico, and one went to the Philipines. But I would like more information. My grandfather Daniel Santos who married my grandmother Dominga Vasquez from Aguas Buenas. My father was Miguel Angel Santos Vasquez who married my mother Mildred Monserrate Rivera born in Yauco and raised in Ponce. My dad died in 1974 and my mother in 1977. I started searching my roots around 2001 so I missed out on a lot of information. My grandfather on my mother's side was Taino. The best thing you could do while you are still blessed to have your parents, is to pick their brains and let them tell you all they know about our ancestors. If you don't mind passiing on the wealth of information from your parents, I would greatly apreciate it. If I get any information, I will pass it on to you. my mother josefin santos rivera was born in orocovis, puerto rico. my grand parents come to p.r. from the canary iland.
i'm writing because you mention ciales and my parents live in ciales and one of my brother was born in ciales. my mother had told me once, that all the santos in orovis, ciales and comerio were related. my father's name is juan ojeda maldonado he was born morovis p.r. which is the town next to orovis. the ojeda in the area are also related.

Buscamos datos de una hermana de nuestra abuela que, según sus dichos viajó a Cuba siendo muy jovencita y no se supo mas de ella. Nuestra abuela, Dominga, se estableció en Argentina, Bs. Hace anos que no posteo mensajes y hoy fue que otra persona me mando un mensaje, y me dio con leer los otros posteos. Si a ti tambien te hablaron de los quatro hermanos Santos de Espana, eso quiere decir que si, somos familia. No se escribir o hablar mucho en espanol, pero yo creo que me defiendo. Gracias por escribir, por cierto lo haces muy bien en español, te felicito. La última vez que posteé un mensaje fue el 29 enero 2009. No sé si lo has leído porque me mencionas el del 2006 y no ese. De todas formas me gustaría saber si has seguido en la genealogía de tu familia. Yo estoy un poco limitada pero sigo tratando de encontrar información sobre los Santos pero no he adelantado nada con relación a mi abuelo y bisabuelo paterno. Al no poder localizar el lugar dónde nació mi abuelo, José Santos Rodríguez, no me deja adelantar la investigación. Estoy trabajando en la genealogía de mi familia y me alegrará descubrir cada uno de mis antepasados, será como verlos y conocerlos. Mis bisabuelos paternos Celestino Santos (abt.1839-41), Martina Rodríguez (abt.1842) vivieron en Aguas Buenas. Allí nació su hijo, José Santos-Rodríguez (1866-1945) casó con Jacinta Rosario-Rosario (1855-1948) de Cayey. Los padres de mi abuela Jacinta fueron José Rosario y Leocadia Rosario (abt.1835). José tenía otros hermanos, deconozco todo de ellos, nombres, pueblos relacionados, en fin, un misterio. A mis abuelos les nacieron nueve hijos: Teodosia, Víctor, Jenara, Margarita, Victoria, Jaime, Pedro, María y Nemesio (1908-1997) mi padre. Escuché decir que el origen de la familia venía de España, algo que no he podido verificar. Mi bisabuela materna: Julia Colón (abt.1857) esposo desconocido, padres de Juan Colón (1877-1965) de Cayey, mi abuelo materno quien casó con Carmen Vicente-Concepción (1884-1975) de Cidra, tuvieron cuatro hijos: Pedro, Jesús, Eugenia y Amelia (1915-2000), mi madre. Los padres de mi abuela Carmen Vicente, fueron Vicente Vicente (1859) y Basilia Concepción (1864). Pueblos relacionados: Aguas Buenas, Cayey, Aibonito, Cidra, San Juan y Guayama.

It is believed that PFC Layne Michael Santos, born Oct 17, 1948, and KIA on Mar 3, 1969 near Kontum, South Vietnam was a member of the 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery. He is listed on the Memorial Wall on Panel 30W-Line 30. Known to have been a 13A10 Artilleryman, his service number was 56728606. Would like to verify that we have identified our RTO that was killed on Mar 3, 1969, along with 20 other 4th Infantry Division soldiers.

Lei su ultimo mensaje, todavia no he podido saber donde nacio mi abuelo paterno, Jose Santos Rodriguez, ni mi bisabuelo, Celestino Santos. Como dije antes los documentos que poseo indican diferentes pueblos donde nacio mi abuelo, unos en Aguas Buenas, otros Comerio y Rio Piedras. Esto se ha convertido en un rompecabezas para mi. Mi abuelo era blanco, ojos verdes y de estatura, algunos 5'6". Caso con Jacinta Rosario de Aibonito, quien nacio de esclavos cuya familia todos fueron esclavos, de ellos si tengo mucha informacion. Por esto entendera que eran negros todo lo contrario a mi abuelo. Llegue a pensar que la disigualdad en las razas distancio a mi abuelo de su familia ya que nunca escuche hablar de ellos a mis padres, tios y relacionados. Mis abuelos paternos vivieron con mis padres, asi que los conoci muy bien. Mi abuelo murio en el 1945 y mi abuela en el 1948. Hay mucha coincidencia entre su familia Santos y la mia. Conocio usted los hermanos de su abuelo y sabe algo sobre ellos? Le pregunto porque tiene uno de nombre Jose Santos.
Si usted tiene informacion de bisabuelos, tatarabueblos, y encuentra algun Celestino, por favor dejeme saber.

No sé si pueda leer el español, espero que sí. Soy Santos y escuché en mi familia algo parecido a lo que usted dice. Tengo que creer que como usted, soy parte de esos cuatro hermanos que llegaron a PR. Quizas fue mi bisabuelo, Celestino Santos y hermanos los que llegaron a PR, mi abuelo José Santos Rodríguez, no he localizado su acta de nacimiento pero en algunos documentos dice que nació en Rio Piedras, otros en Aguas Buenas o Comerío, por eso no he podido ir más allá y estoy estancada. También escuhé que poseían tierras y mencionaban Aguas Buenas y Ciales. Estos cuatro hermanos, según me informaron, se separaron al salir de España?....Seguiré tratando de descifrar este rompecabezas genealógico. Siempre a la orden,

I am looking for a Joaquin Santos from Masssachusetts. He had 3 sons by the names of Roger, George and Jack. George passed away in California in April 2004. I believe that Jack may still live in Massachusetts and I am unsure about Roger. I know this isn't a whole lot of information but any info would be helpful. Joaquin was married to a Loretta Lizote. my name is yvette santos and my father's name was rafael santos from caguas puerto rico. He was an engineer who worked on PRs highways years ago..His mother was candida (not sure of her last name) but she lived in caguas also. I believe she had my father out of wedlock. I never knew his father but I was told his mother worked for him. My father passed away in Dec of 2005 and I would love to find out his roots.. If you have any information, i would appreciate it.

Armando santos me suena familiar. Mi mama me conto la historia de mi papa, rafael santos de cauguas PR, Bonneville heights, que fallecio en 2005.. Yo me recuredo que mama me conto que el tenia un hermano armando muy alto de estatura. Sera el mismo Armando? Mi papa nacio de Candida, y supongo que ella trabajaba por el papa de mi papa..

Tengo entendido que los quatro hermanos que salieron de Espana se separaron y cada uno fue a una isla {{creo que eso sucedio en 1800's }} mi papa se llamaba Miguel A Santos y mi abuelo era Daniel Santos los hermanos de me abuelo Cruz santos,Armando Santos ,Jose Santos ,la familia me parece que son todos de Comerio,Aguas Buenas , Cidra todos de esa aria, Espero que esta informacion le ayude un poco mas.

Hola yvette, la verdada que no se si es el mismo .
Tengo entendid que son come 5 o 7 se que sus hermanos se llaman Daniel ,Armando, Jose perdona por el momento no me acuerdo los otros nombres, cuando mas jovenes vivian entre Cidra , Comerio Y si recuerdo bien quisas en AguasBuena.
Pero no dudo que quisas seamos familia tengo entendido que los Santos es una familia grande. Ohala que las dos podamos conseguir mas informacion.
