This is a thread to discuss descendants of Louis Philippe Sérien dit Langlais AND who becomes Louis Philippe. Main discussion points are:

1. He is linked to Sargent through DNA, but NOT through Digory Sargent of Massachusetts. Strong indication (as of 2012) is that he is an abducted boy from one of the Maine Sargent families, but not Digory's line.
2. If not Daniel Sargent, then indications of his death being before 1728 are not relevant anymore (those facts are tied to Daniel Sargent). When did he die?
3. Candidates for who becomes Louis Philippe Sérien dit Lachapelle are:
a. Daniel Sargent (baptized in 1707, was abducted by Abenaki in 1703 in Massachusetts) [DNA evidence now discounts this boy as becoming Louis Philippe Sérien di Langlais]
b. a 16 year old Philippe Anglais de Nation (baptized in 1700 at age 16).
c. a Philippe baptized in 1691 in Riviere-Ouelle (listed as a Indian and son of Indians in baptismal record)
