I have since learnt that Bertha and Joe Hogl had a son who was blind and lived a long life in a nursing home - probably from 1919-1947. Would like to find his first name and which nursing home he died in.

I would like to correspond with anyone who might have information on John Sauber, son of Matthew Sauber and Elizabeth [family name unknown], who was born probably in October of 1861. He may have married Helen Keifer. John was a farmer in Virgil, Kane, Illinois. He and Helen may have had two sons: Matthew and Paul. I would like to confirm that John's wife was the daughter of Peter Keifer and Barbar Zean. Thanks in advance.

A "Kitty" Wooliscroft resided in Rhode Island until the 1970's.She was the Niece of the listed English Artist Robert Herman" Sauber".He painted several portraits of her.Her mother was born Emily Ida Sauber in 1872 in London England.It seems that the nickname "Kitty" runs in the family.

I am the son of Thomas A Sauber B.D. 9/27/1923 died 05/09/1997

Grandson of John William and Rose Mary Sauber, who had ten childdren, My father was the last born. I have some info & pictures on children of john & Rose Mary Sauber.
Also looking for info on my birth mother Irene

John W. Sauber b. 21 Nov 1881 d. 10 Jan 1972 was my gg-grandfather on my mother's side of the family. His wife Rose Mary Gardner b. 1882 d. 1944.

Their children were:

Arlind- Thanks for your response...I traced William back to Minnesota, where he was born...I'm guessing that he took my father in while in IL or WIS, since that is where my father was from (Chicago). But, it was "Sauber"...anyway, thanks.

Looking for information regarding siblings or other relation to John W. Sauber. He was born in 1882 in Illinois. He was married to Rose Mary Gardner and had 10 children. He died in 1972 in California. He was a retired employee of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors.

Is it possible that the name is William Saubert instead of William Sauber. There were Saubert's who lived in Wisonsin about that time and there are several Saubert's who had a first or middle name of William. I do not know anything about the child you mentioned.
