Nahneebahweequa left Mississauga’s of the Credit 1845 and was adopted by the Nawash Cape Croker
Nahneebahweequa’s grave her husband William Suton, her children’s Sophia Staves wife of Joseph Staves, Joseph, Albert, Christine, William, Wesley , are all buried in unmarked graves on their homestead cited to become A golf course owned by Georgian Villas Inc. The Chippewa’s of Nawash have a protest with Ontario Municipal Board trying to stop this development for many reasons .
Some of us (the descendants) want to start a Class action Specific land claims against INAC for unlawfully taking away her status and birthright to be Indian. We need the support of all descendants of Nahnebahweequa .We can stop this development
The land belonged to Catherine Sutton d/o the late Bunch Sonego and her Legal heirs forever (RG 10 Volume 2877 File 177181) dated Nov 7 1845 signed by the then

The land in question was bought in 1999 for one million dollars. When the development is finished it will be worth 100 million dollars
Let’s make it right for our Ancestors who deserved better Let us right one of the many wrongs that were done to our family by INAC. over the last 150 years

Also can anyone check for the resting place of Catherine B Sutton Jr b 1843 Credit Mission. died 1917 Oakland twp Brant County. Is she buried in the New Credit Cemetery?
